UT SAAC Hands Out Christmas Gifts

University of Tampa student-athletes spent the day at a local elementary school, handing out gifts to students at Just Elementary School.
The event was sponsored by the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), which raised proceeds, shopped and wrapped the gifts that were presented to the children of the local school.
A student-athlete advisory committee (SAAC) is a committee made up of student-athletes assembled to provide insight on the student-athlete experience. The SAAC also offers input on the rules, regulations and policies that affect student-athletes' lives on NCAA member institution campuses.
The mission of the NCAA Division II Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is to enhance the total student-athlete experience by promoting opportunity for all student-athletes; protecting student-athlete welfare; and fostering a positive student-athlete image.
Assistant Athletic Director Cher Pittenger serves as the advisor for the group as its officers are Sarah Wickham (President), Charlotte White (Vice President) and Samantha Kay (Vice President).
