Murrell & Barbaresi Headline NSCAA Women's Soccer Award Winners

Rollins defender Charlotte Murrell and Saint Leo midfielder Cassie Barbaresi have been named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Division II All-America Team.
Murrell was a second-team selection. She had a stellar senior season for the Tars, which saw her tally two goals and one assist. She was also a dangerous threat on free-kicks. The Tallahassee native also anchored a venerable backline, which conceded eight goals all season and ranked first in Division II shutout percentage.
A third team selection, Barbaresi finished the season leading the team in assists with 10 and adding seven goals to her scoring tally, good for second best on the team in overall points with 24. She notched one game-winning goal while helping the Lions pepper opponents with 295 shots and 147 shots on target, and was lethal from long range. Starting 14 games and seeing time in 18, Barbaresi ranked third in the Sunshine State Conference in points, and fourth in assists.

The organization also finally announced the All-South Region Team, which was dominated by SSC players. The conference took 19 of 35 total spots, including eight of 12 first-team selections. The SSC also placed seven student-athletes on the second team and four on the All-Region third team.
