NSU's Gittings Lands Women's Golfer of the Week

Nova Southeastern junior Abbey Gittings has been distinguished as the Sunshine State Conference Women's Golfer of the Week.
Gittings (Tamworth, England) tied for second of 67 golfers at the Georgetown Hoya Invitational in Beallsville, Md. With her team as the lone Division II representative in the Division I-heavy tournament, Gittings fired a three-round score of 226 (75-78-73), just three strokes behind the medalist. Her efforts helped the Sharks tie for second in the 11-team field.
