Five SSC Baseball Players Named to Academic All-District Team

Five SSC baseball players have been named to the Capital One Academic All-District Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Tampa placed three student-athletes on the All-District first team. Pitcher Aaron Gerbasi posted a 3.30 GPA in accounting. Catcher Adam Pendleton tallied a 3.69 GPA in business. Outfielder Zach Gawrych earned a 3.71GPA in business economics.
Also making the list was Rollins infielder Nick Adams, who presented a 3.84 GPA as an economics major. Florida Southern infielder Cory Jensen recorded a 3.45 GPA in criminology.
The Capital One Division II and III Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2011-12 DII and DIII Academic All-America® teams program.
First-team Academic All-District ® honorees advance to the Capital One Academic All-America® Team ballot, where first, second, and third-team All-America honorees will be selected later.
