Gibbard Named NCBWA Region Pitcher of the Week

Lynn's Ryan Gibbard has been named the South Region Pitcher of the Week by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA).
Gibbard, who was also named the SSC Pitcher of the Week on Monday, tossed a complete-game shutout in the No. 7 Knights’ 5-0 win over No. 12 Nova Southeastern.
Pitching the second game of the SSC series, Gibbard scattered five hits and permitted one walk over nine innings. He struck out nine. His outing marked the first nine-inning, complete-game shutout for Lynn since May 1, 2009.
