NSU's Regoli and Contaldi Grab Final Baseball Weekly Honors

Nova Southeastern's Areo Regoli and Vinnie Contaldi have claimed the final Sunshine State Conference Baseball Player of the Week awards.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK -- Nova Southeastern senior OF Areo Regoli (Homestead, Fla.) batted .333 with three RBI and two runs to help lead the Sharks to an SSC series win over Rollins. He had the first triple of his career and a home run en route to a .889 slugging percentage. Regoli posted a .538 on-base percentage and was flawless in the field. He also stole a base in NSU’s series-clinching win in the finale.
PITCHER OF THE WEEK -- Taking the mound to finish the final 6.2 innings of a game that was halted by inclement weather, Nova Southeastern junior Vinnie Contaldi (Jupiter, Fla.) picked up the win in the Sharks’ 6-3 series-opening victory over Rollins. He inherited a 2-1 deficit but scattered five hits with three walks and struck out four Tar batters to earn the decision.
