"Faces of the Sunshine State Conference" Series to Debut Tuesday

The SSC is preparing to unveil “Faces of the Sunshine State Conference, “a series of profiles of current and former SSC student-athletes.
Each of the SSC’s nine member institutions selected one current student-athlete or alum for its profile.
The profiles were written by Katie Gwinn, who recently completed a summer internship with the SSC office. A senior at Saint Leo University, Gwinn is majoring in communications management. She is the President of the Student Government Union at Saint Leo and has interned for the Lion athletics communications department since August 2011.
In coming weeks, the “Faces of the Sunshine State Conference” profiles will be posted on the conference website, sunshinestateconference.com. Each article will also be linked from the Sunshine State Conference Facebook page, as well as the SSC’s Twitter account, D2SSC.
The series will begin tomorrow with Gwinn’s profile of Florida Southern’s swimming national champion Jeb Halfacre.
