Tampa sophomore Heather Glenday has been named Sunshine State Conference Women's Swimmer of the Week for the period ending October 30.
Glenday (Babylon, N.Y.) picked up wins in the 200 and 1,000-yard freestyle races in the Spartans’ 153-98 victory over Savannah College of Art & Design. Glenday’s time of 1:55.98 in the 200 free was the best in the SSC so far this season. She also turned in an SSC-best time of 10:32.85 in the 1,000 freestyle, achieving an NCAA “B” standard with her victory.
