Florida Tech senior forward Briauna Hagins has been named Sunshine State Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week.
Hagins (Ocala, Fla.) led the Panthers to a pair of key SSC wins against teams ranked at the top of the league standings. She narrowly missed a double-double in a 62-56 win over Barry, recording eight points, 14 rebounds, one assist, and one steal. She then notched a double-double with 14 points and 10 boards in a 78-72 road upset over No. 9 Rollins. For the week, Hagins averaged 11.0 points and 12.0 rebounds. She shot 53 percent (8-for-15) from the field and 67 percent (6-for-9) at the free throw line.
