The Nova Southeastern Varsity 8 has been named Sunshine State Conference Boat of the Week.
The Shark Varsity 8 posted a time of 6:58.9 to win flight #3 of the Eight races held as part of Florida Tech’s Governor’s Cup. In a total of five Varsity 8 races pitting teams from Tech, NSU, Emory, Barry, and Columbia in head-to-head competition, the Shark Eight’s time was the third fastest of the day, surpassed only by the Columbia boats. Manning the NSU boat were coxswain Caroline Kelly (Seaville, N.J.), Camille Evans (Orlando, Fla.), Lauren Boudreau (Waterford, N.Y.), Kelly Scott (Hobe Sound, Fla.), Victoria Ciccone (Brigantine, N.J.), Megan O’Donnell (Lake Worth, Fla.), Jessica Sutter (Key Largo, Fla.), Taylor Van Horn (Cape Coral, Fla.), and Stephanie Hauck (Somers Point, N.J.).
