Rollins' Chase Neinken and Barry's Joao Garcia have been recognized as Sunshine State Conference Men's Soccer Players of the Week for the period ending September 19.

![]() | DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK -- Barry senior D Joao Garcia (Rio de Janiero, Brazil) led a Buccaneer defense that posted a pair of shutouts last week, including an SSC victory over Nova Southeastern. In the 1-0 win over the Sharks, Garcia and the Buccaneer defenders limited NSU to eight shots, only two of which were on goal. In an earlier 7-0 victory over Johnson & Wales, the squad surrendered just two shots. Garcia also provided an offensive lift in that contest, assisting on a pair of goals. The Buccaneers boast a stingy 0.37 goals against average on the season. |
