Saint Leo's Nogueras and Rollins' Cline Named Volleyball Players of the Week

Saint Leo's Michelle Nogueras and Rollins' Kim Cline have been named the Sunshine State Conference Volleyball Players of the Week for the period ending September 16.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK -- Saint Leo sophomore setter Michelle Nogueras (Cayey, P.R.) led the Lions to four three-game road victories, averaging 12.9 assists per game.  Nogueras guided the Lions to a stellar .399 hitting percentage for the week.  She also averaged 2.2 kills, 2.7 digs, and 0.6 blocks per frame, while hitting at a .475 clip. In SLU’s opening match of the week, she tallied a triple-double with 10 kills, 10 digs, and 45 assists.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK --  Rollins senior libero Kim Cline (Lake Worth, Fla.) helped the Tars win their conference season opener, a five-game thriller against Eckerd.  Cline tallied 23 digs, an average of 4.60 per frame, to help propel Rollins to victory.
