NEW ORLEANS (Men’s and Women’s Cross Country) – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced its 2013 NCAA Division II Cross Country Region Athletes and Coaches of the Year on Tuesday. The Sunshine State Conference had both of the South Region Coach of the Year award winners as Tampa’s Jarrett Slaven was named women’s coach of the year and Florida Southern’s Ben Martucci was named men’s coach of the year. (Men’s Cross Country) – The Florida Southern Moccasins captured the NCAA Division II South Region Championship after securing their 16th Sunshine State Conference title to advance to the NCAA Division II National Championship.
