SSC Recognizes Silver Anniversary Team in Women's Basketball A total of 15 student-athletes representing six different institutions were selected for the Sunshine State Conference Silver Anniversary Volleyball Team, it was announced on Thursday, February 22. Florida Tech led all institutions with four student-athletes, while Florida Southern College, Rollins College and the University of Tampa each placed three former student-athletes on the squad. Barry University and Eckerd College were represented with one former student-athlete apiece. Voting for the team, which recognizes the Conference’s first 25 years of competition in the sport of women's basketball, was conducted among the athletic directors at each of the SSC’s nine member institutions. In addition to selecting the Silver Anniversary Team, voters also selected the top player and top coach of the SSC’s first quarter century of women's basketball. SSC Hall of Famer Paulette King of Florida Tech was named the top player and SSC Hall of Famer Glenn Wilkes, Jr. of Rollins was selected as the top coach. News Release/Team Member Profiles (PDF)
